I checked two other MSNBC shows last night - Maddow and Matthews - and both kept showing only that one shot of the man with the rifle. It seems to be the only shot not showing the man’s skin color.

This is not journalism. How in the hell can this commentator go on casting this as if only race could be the motivator for bringing guns when the individual holding the assault rifle is black? I have noticed over the years that the people who think the most about race are the same people shaving their face in the morning who belong to some “race”. Why does it always have to be a race anyway? Can’t we walk side by side as friends?
Yeah that’s right, side by side as friends, with you not thinking about your race and me not being reminded, INCESSANTLY, about your race.
I don’t care what your race is. It is not important, except for your culture. I love to learn about people, their culture and language but, I do not enjoy being reminded regularly how you are a victim of your own race.

There is no White Miss America Pageant. Anyone can be Miss America. We don’t care what your color is. But, let’s try entering a White or Chinese woman into the Miss Black America Pagaent. What would that response be?
