If you desire to see elitism on display, read the NYTimes article. You will see why so many bloggers and people in America are irate about this direct slam against middle America. This is what has taken over the media and portrays itself as journalism. We must take the media back, or they will continue to attack and destroy our American institutions...

Not entirely necessary. This media is already starting to wither and die, due to their blind elitist obliviousness (this article is a CASE STUDY in such). Unless the Gov't bails media out (which I wouldn't discount) eventually the free market will right the ship.

It may take several more years for this to be noticible, but it will happen. But only if the free market is allowed to work.

Meh—I used to like JC Penney, but even they’ve gotten expensive. Gimme Kohl’s any day.

Vomit! Ooops, that’s probably how the author fits into a size 2. The whole article is surreal, definately a whopped sense of reality occurring therein.

I like JCPenney. You can still buy a reasonable pair of shoes there. Wal-Mart only has junk shoes, and Nordstrom wants $200.

If a person is going to do satire it shouldn't come across as mean spirited and elitist. She doesn't understand her own country or people enough to pull it off. King of the Hill, for example could make America laugh at itself because it did it with love.
