Agreed. I’m also a Christian, but do not necessarily reject this. He said he died and went to Heaven and met his friends who also just died. OK so far - who knows what God has in mind for some or all.

OK, then look at the fruits. The father lost his faith, and Christians who hear the story are finding their faith challenged by it. Would God want to point people to other ways, truths or lights than Christ? Or does this sound more like the work of a demon?

God allows demons to act in order to try us like gold in the furnace.

Heb 9:27
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.

No reincarnation. Can God choose to make an exception? Of course, but he won’t.

Perhaps you think of Lazarus, who was dead, but Jesus raised back to life, only to die again later on? This wasn’t reincarnation, coming back as someone else.

Has God done things outside the norm prove a point? Yes. The point wasn’t that everyone might get a second chance in a different life, the point was to illustrate God’s ability to do the impossible (ie what we can’t).

Also bear in mind God does allow demons to perform false ‘miracles’ within the scope of their limited powers.
