Question About Health Care & Tort Reform...
Fellow FREEPers! | 09/09/09

I was just watching Linda Douglass, Obama poodle, on FOX NEWS. She refused to answer whether BHO was going to promote TORT REFORM in his dog 'n pony show tonight...she merely said "Obama has talked about it a lot."

blah blah blah

So my question is: could Obama create "tort reform" this way: MAKE EVERY DOCTOR A DEFACTO EMPLOYEE OF THE GOVERNMENT. THE GOVERNMENT CANNOT BE SUED--SO NO LAWSUITS AGAINST DOCTORS WOULD BE PERMITTED.

I know Obama and the libs are in bed with trial lawyers, so this may not happen...but it crossed my mind.

TOPICS: Health/Medicine
KEYWORDS: lawyers; obama; tort
Any thoughts? I don't put anything past these fascists.

Military doctors can be sued. I know someone who sued and became quite wealthy.

I ex[ect a dog and pony show tonight from Obummer, just more smoke and mirrors albeit in a much louder voice. I imagine Obummer will come across much like a scold tonight. He will rake Congress over the coals and take them to task even though he will discount his own share of the blame in the fiasco that has become healthcare. In fact, he will blame everybody and everything else BUT HIMSELF.

Their mantra for today seems to be “Gov’t. Option” is the ONLY way to control costs! Ha! They are out in full-speed turbo mode on all the shows pushing this G.O. crap sandwich. We the People showed these fools what WE wanted, repeatedly, at townhalls over the summer. Too bad. They’re obviously not listening nor care about the people. Only their communist agenda.

The President’s Tort Two-Step
Special-interests and the health-care status quo.

*
By KIMBERLEY A. STRASSEL

On Wednesday the president told Congress “I will not stand by while the special interests use the same old tactics to keep things exactly the way they are.” In fact, the administration is standing by to allow its most special, special interest to drive this debate. What the tort bar wants, the tort bar gets. Health insurers should be so lucky.

The legal question has become the starkest symbol of a broken health discussion, and offers insight into this presidency. For Republicans, legal reform has become a litmus test, proof that Democrats have no interest in a deal, and therefore a reason to step back. For many Americans, legal reform has become proof that President Obama is mo....

in all honesty— even the Republicans have a very bad plan for tort reform....

If tort reform were not politically motivated— it could be done right, and well....but both sides are WHACKED on the issue...
