Her politics sucked, but she made beautiful music. May she rest in peace.

Bowling Green State University Peter, Paul and Mary concert in 1967 I believe, when the announcement was made that Johnson would not run again, the crowd went crazy...

I guess this would not be the time to play the parody version my friend loved, “Where Have All the Donuts Gone?”

I had to “stretch the truth” with the parents to see a Peter, Paul and Mary concert at the Santa Barbara bowl when I was in high school.
It was great.
RIP Mary

I did search, when the title is not exact it doesn’t show up Mr. Snarky.

But it WOULD be appropriate to ask ‘where have all the media gone’. ;-) j/k
Seriously, tho. May she rest in peace. I grew up listening to their music and enjoyed it.

I didn’t her their politics either, but that voice. Saw them in person in 1991 and they were still great. Folk music a legend today.

I remember her rudeness when President Reagan invited her to appear at the White House. Our misdeeds outlive us!

Crap. We named our daughter with help from the song about her own daughter. Beautiful voice. Must have seen them live 10 times, maybe once or twice her by herself.

No, I am not a genius, nor do I claim to be. I searched the title of the article, nothing came up. I’m sorry this duplicate post irritated you so much.

It wastes bandwith to double-post...costs money...no need for it. Let's use this as a teaching moment. There are more sources than the NY Times out there...if there was another story posted about this, it would VERY likely have "Mary" or "Travers" in the headline, so all you needed to do was search either of those terms to find the previous post.
Better luck next time...
