HAMPTON
A man used a robbers gun to shoot him after the robber broke into his residence early Wednesday. The robber was arrested at a local hospital receiving treatment, police said.
The home invasion was reported about 12:20 a.m. in the 1100 block of E. Pembroke Avenue. Two men with guns went into the residence and attacked a man inside, while a third robber waited in a car, police said.
During the assault, one of the suspects dropped his handgun which the victim was able to retrieve, a police statement said. The victim fired the handgun striking one of the suspects in the arm.
All three robbers left in the car.
Keyen Lamar Hill, 27, who was shot, was located at a hospital and charged with robbery, four counts of attempted robbery, maiming, abduction, breaking and entering while armed and six counts of using a firearm in the commission of a felony, police said.
The robbery victim was treated for injuries sustained in the assault.
Police were looking for the other two robbers.

It's a shame that Keyen ,(the good for nothing SOB )wasn't killed.
There are plenty of jobs in this area if you are sober and are willing to work.
Kudos to the homeowner...but I recommend he buy his own gun. The next robber may not be so accomodating.
Never mind.
the only sad thing about this story is that the perp lived.

Too bad he didn’t have a gun of his own. Pretty sorry state when a citizen of the USA has to wait for a burglar to drop his gun so he can defend himself. With his own gun he might have killed both of the SOB in the house.
But, that would be considered acting white, and simply too many young black men would rather be shot in the commission of a crime than be accused of acting white by their peers.
