Shock! A clean, wholesome movie! "The Secrets of Jonathan Sperry"

The film, “The Secrets of Jonathan Sperry,” set in a small town in upstate New York in 1970, is truly a stunning success for the Christian-crossover genre of films like “Fireproof,” a more recent winner in the secular market. The director, Rich Christiano, also co-wrote the film with his brother Dave, both of whom have been producing, writing, and directing films since the late 1980's. This is undoubtedly their best film to date.

I saw this on Friday night. It was wonderful.

Truly a breath of fresh air for those sick of the cesspool that is Hollywood.

Summary:
Set in the summer of 1970, THE SECRETS OF JONATHAN SPERRY tells the story of Dustin and his friends, who must find a Christian way to deal with the school bully. THE SECRETS OF JONATHAN SPERRY is slow and static at times, but it is a very sweet, kind-hearted evangelistic movie that’s surprisingly winsome, endearing and family friendly.

“must find a Christian way to deal with the school bully.”

OMG! None other than Gavin MacLeod plays the title role.

Good to see him working again. I didn’t even know for certain he was still kicking.

I have known Dave Christiano for many years and can tell you that these brothers are absolutely devoted to making wholesome Christ centered films that are capable of entertaining as well as delivering the message of God’s love for humanity. Do yourselves a favor and visit www.christianfilms.com.

I'm looking forward to watching this film. Gavin McLeod has been a man who spoke of his Christianity publicly for years.  He and his wife used to host a Christian talk show on the Trinity Broadcasting Network. They have quite a story on the way to their conversion.

On a similar note, Michael Joiner and Louis Gosset Jr. are getting ready to shoot a faith based film, The Grace Card, in October.  Michael Joiner is a Christian comedian and actor. Louis Gosset Jr. shoudl need no introduction.  You can follow the film on Facebook if you are so inclined.

I saw it last night. It’s excellent.

Robert Guillaume (Benson) is also in it.
