With all due respect to anyone here living in or near Chicago, I would’ve been shocked if it hadn’t been knocked out of the running.
I visited Chicago once, many years ago, and I also visited Madrid. Madrid beats Chicago hands down. Why this news anchor is surprised - that Chicago is out and Madrid is still in - is beyond me. He seems incredulous that anyone would ever say no to this president.

I’d love to go to Madrid, but I think a big strike against Madrid is that Barcelona had the Olympics in 92, and they will be in London, so I don’t there’s ever been back-to-back Olympics on the same continent.

Chicago has always been a rough town but IMHO, it started going to Hell in a handbasket right about the time Mike Ditka left the Bears organization.
Hasn't been the same since.
