Handy hints:
1/ Always keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot. (I don’t know where old guys pick this up, but we watch ‘em like hawks in our concealed carry classes.)
2/ Grandpa, maybe you can get someone with brains to teach you ‘bout shootin’ irons.

Keep the firearm unloaded until ready to use it.
Keep finger offer trigger until ready to fire.
