depends on if he's in the general population, or not.

Time served will be a few days longer than it takes for the rest of the inmates to find out what he's in for.

From what I have heard from ex cons and parolees I have talked too, it isn’t so much like that anymore - quite possibly because of the higher number of perps in for such sickness. Maybe it depends on what prison one is in, but our fanciful imaginations of some form of poetic justice in the can are not so accurate any more.

It’s satisfying to think that, but I think it must be a myth that the other inmates normally eliminate molesters. So many of these bastards are repeat offenders who’ve already done time. Clearly most of them are surviving their sentences and their experiences in prison are not so unpleasant as to prevent them from doing it again.
