I hope this idiot cop is fired and sued for everything he owns. He violated a basic rule of firearms safety:
Be sure of your target and what is beyond it.
Fire him. Sue him into Bankruptcy, then sue him again.
Then prosecute his dumb ass under 18USC242 for Violations of Civil Rights under False Color of Authority.
