I too woke up to the news about President Obama and the Nobel Peace Prize and saying WTF several times. In an effort to bring some perspective and a warning to "Da Man" at a time of his glory, I want to remind all of a predecessor of his that DID NOT get the Peace Prize but should have and probably would have gotten it eventually except for a greater tragedy!
At the start of World War 1, this man was an international business man, lecturer and author who by his own efforts had become a millionaire. In 1914 he helped repatriate stranded Americans from the war areas of Europe, then organized relief efforts for battered Belgium. Adding to that effort he moved to London where he worked dawn to dusk feeding the refugees of war and managing a budget of multiple millions of 1914 dollars.
When the US joined the war, he became 'Food Czar' in the US to keep the home population healthy while feeding the troops and our Allies. After the Armistice, he headed a pan-Europe relief effort that fed people from England to Russia without a hint of corruption or bias.
Do you think that this record compares to Obama's? Was it worthy of such 'Nobility'?
I hope, for our COUNTRY's sake, that Mr. Obama recognizes that this award will do little for him if he continues to lead this country, which is still the World's Engine, into bankruptcy and international failure. Please Mr. President, you were elected to be President of us all, not just the looney left.
