Is Jason Campbell being spare criticism because of his race?

I think the problem with Campbell is you have guys like Flaco and Ryan stepping right in and performing and Campbell is still struggling.

I think it has to do more with him being in Washington. JaMarcus Russell is getting hammered by pundits, and rightfully so. Campbell is dealing with the DOug Williams legacy, so he basically gets a free ride.

You hit it on the head. Ryan and Flacco have set a bar that is very high, and they are the exception rather than the rule.

I think Romo and McNabb are a matched pair- big game chokers.

I do not believe race has any thing to do with it.

Nothing!

Flacco & Ryan are still operating with a skinny playbook. I think that things are changing, but it was certainly the case last year. They also played for 2 teams that could actually run the ball pretty well.

Perhaps Campbell is ‘handicapped’ by having to play for a head coach who is also his own offensive coordinator & QB positon coach? No other coaches to offer a reality-check? (hey coach, I don’t think that Jason can make this throw...)

I predict Tebow will either be a Dolphin or a Colt. Would not surprise me at all to see Irsay trade picks to get him. Indy would be the perfect fit for him, as the heir to Manning. Of course, Manning could play for another 8 years.

I can see Peyton Manning playing into his 40’s and being very effective.

I have been hearing Jacksonville is angling for Tebow. He might actually put some fannies in the seats.

Given how few black QBs there have been it is a coincidence. It’s a simple function of math, with 32 teams, 7 year long average career, and 1 winner a year most QBs will never win a ring. There’ve been plenty of great black QBs, but it takes a lot more than a great QB to win an SB, in fact Trent Dilfer proves you don’t even need a great QB to win an SB. If you put any of the guys you mention in place of Dilfer the Ravens still get a ring.

Agreed. After watching Culpepper play, its painfully obvious that Stafford is the legit starter. Staf does indeed have a cannon for an arm. The difference between a Staf and CPep toss is incredible. I saw trade CPep to a team that could use him, put Stanton at #2 and bring in a vet for #3.

It would be interesting to see Tebow go to the Vikings and try to run the option paired with AP.

I think teams will find a way to use Tebow in a non-QB role, like they tried to do with Matt Jones in Jax, before his Coke habit got the best of him.

I would like Tebow with Miami. The Fish could run the Wildcat all the time with Tebow!!

Assuming Jacksonville remains in Florida. I’ve heard they may be the new LA franchise. As for Tebow, who I adore, I can see his family pulling an Eli and want to play for the franchise that matches their beliefs, etc. OTOH, Tebow is such a humble young man, he’s play for anyone- and likely do well. The kid is a natural born leader who inspires others to follow.

I wouldn't mind seeing "Tebow to Harvin" again.

I dunno. I think he will be a QB, but one who will sit and learn first. He maybe used in wildcat formations, but his true skill is QB. The best scenario is for him to go behind an aging vet QB and learn.

Jason Campbell’s great. Just overlook the fumbles the interceptions and the fact he can’t do well under pressure and he’s just thuper!

Were it not for Derek Anderson having a horrific season, JaMarcus would be, by far, the worst NFL QB.
*********************************************

A lot of people thought he’d be a bust. I know he played WAY over his head in that bowl game in which he had huge stats, and played himself into a great position for the draft. But that game was an anomaly for him, and I for one would not be shocked if he turns out to be a bust.

I honestly feel uncomfortable bringing this up

Just don't tell anyone your real name over FR.
