Navy moves to put women on submarines

Submariners sleep nine to a bunk room. There are four showers and seven toilets for the roughly 140 enlisted men. The passageways on board the vessel are so narrow that crew members can barely squeeze by each other without touching.

And that's on the roomiest submarines.

The Navy is considering allowing women to serve aboard submarines for the first time, 16 years after bringing female sailors onto surface combat ships.

Some sailors and wives warn that putting men and women together in extremely close quarters underwater for weeks at a time is just asking for sexual harassment cases and wrecked marriages. But supporters of the idea say it is a matter of fairness and equal opportunity, and what worked on ships can work in subs.

You cannot throw young men and women together in close quarters and not expect some fireworks.

Lessee, no privacy, no sunlight, no alcohol, no quiet, babes all around but no sex. Sure. Oh, and faggots will soon openly infest our armed services. It all started with the likes of Congress-person Pat Schroeder who is long gone from the Congress but her jihad against military efficiency and morale lives on.

Agree. Another example of the need for absolute discipline and harmony among the crew of a missile boat— the Trident missile section (Sherwood Forest nicknamed)has missile officers and technicians whose task it is to maintain the integrity of the missile, its rocket fuel, guidance and warheads. This includes montitoring of temperature within the tubes, and also protection... while underway... from sabotage from another crew member. Without more detail, there are duty stations that include guarding, with lethal force, against harming the missiles, and nuclear warheads. This is not child’s play. Deadly serious. Anything that would tend to upset the harmony among close quartered crews would also tend to compromise the utmost safety and security of our nation’s nuclear deterrent— a deterrent that still needs to exist in the realpolitik sense against different new bad actors. Testing has been done with all female crews—with the well known phenomena of synchronized menstrual cycles resulting (dormitory studies have shown this effect). Mixing men and women in this situation would not be good- not even if the all the men and the women were homosexuals. Much more to this than the civilian social theorist will admit in their quest to equalize all.

I’m no expert on the psychological issues raised, but it sure sounds like at the very least there is an utter lack of professionalism for the males and females.

“... compromise teh utmost safety and security of our nation’s nuclear deterrent ...”

Maybe that’s the plan. The hidden agenda.
