It was more a “funny” comment re: how one could utilize a photo in a workout.

FWIW, I am a former pro athlete (NFL). I would strongly recommend against your workout set up.

I would do a solid hour of freeweights at a very quick pace -— big movements -— squats, deadlifts, press, etc, and not do cardio.

Do intense cardio or steady-state on your off days. Even better would be to go jog around a track for a mile, then do interval sprints. You’ll burn much more fat.

Low insensity cardo (i.e., a stairmaster that leaves you enough juice to do weights afterwords) does burn calories, but there is little “carry over” -— that is, burning of calories the rest of the day from the exercise.

If you insist on doing both weights and cardio on the same day, do your weights first, have a little -— very little -— juice after the weights (stops catabolism of muscle) and THEN do your stairmaster. You’ll burn much more fat that way.

FWIW, I am 50 years old, can bench press 2X my weight ten times, can easily do 20 clean pull ups, squat well over 500 lbs, ass to the ground, and finished several Iron Man races in the top 10 of my age group -— and I don’t really jog or ride my bike all that much (although I do swim, as that is a learned skill). I know of what I speak.

I am 46 and train for the sports I am in and they require some pretty solid legs. I have always loved stairs, since high school.

Hiking and snowboarding are my primary sports. Some Tae Kwon Do from time to time.

I don't really lift too many weights. Bursitis, both shoulders and for my 46th birthday tendonitis, left elbow. Yeah!

I have strong back, biceps and pulling muscles.

Core is solid as ever, just covered with some jiggly stuff.

More of my work is cross training and just what interest me for the day or week.

I can try your workout sometime for 6-8 weeks.
