“Taken” was good, but I had niggling doubts afterwards when realizing (A) most of it happened only because he _happened_ to be at the right place at the right few seconds by sheer dumb luck, and (B) very little is transferrable as a “how-to guide” (hey, if you’re daddy to a little girl you’ll understand). Those qualms aside, it was good.
There were definitely flaws in “Taken” but they didn’t occur to you while you were watching it. Afterwards you could spot but while watching it moved so quick and kept you so entertained you didn’t have time to think of them till later.
I must agree w/ you on “Taken”. I thought it was formula from start to finish. The addition of any thinking at all renders it only somewhat more plausible than “Transporter 2”. I had trouble w/ both of these. I’m capable of suspending disbelief, but not infinitely.
