It almost seems Speaker Gingrich's climb-down in the NY23 race, has liberated him.
Gingrich was on Fox News this morning, and not once but serveral times referred to democrats with the "Socialist" word. He was great.
Welcome back Newt.
Give 'em heck!!
Hey, Newt...
SO ARE RINO’s, like Schizzofrizzy.
I hate socialism and communism. I care not whether there is an (R) or a (D) after their name.
sorry newt..principles don’t take a poll..you are diminished..
Gingrich can go suck an egg.
Is he being a leader or a weather vane? I’ll wait a week to see what he does when the Left respond before I start cheering.
But, I hope he’s coming back to the Right! I hope they all come back to the Right.
Bull. He should never be trusted again until he shows a long and straight path of true conservatism, period.
Call me skeptical. Newt has bedded far too many socialists of late for me to take him seriously as a conservative of late. If he had come down on the correct side of issues such as a man made global warming, government schooling (hanging out with Al Sharpton and Arne Duncan are non-starters in my book) and not endorsed a socialist in the recent NY 23 race, I’d consider him to be a real conservative, instead of someone who believes, as he put it, that electing “Democrat lite” candidates is the “future of the GOP.”
Please, Gingrich is a wealth re-distributionist. He is scum.
Easy for Gingrich since he was just humiliated by backing that RINO in upper NY-23. Gingrich lost ALL credibility. He’s a typical inside the beltway pol who will do and say whatever to help him. He had his chance back in 94 and he pissed it away. He should go back to hitting on his own interns.
I’m not sure why he is supporting Hoffman, since he claimed the guy didn’t know the issues and didn’t live in the district. What a tool.
The man has a finger to the wind - like every other professional politician.
Maybe he was “great” today, but he’s not consistent. In fact, he’s quite unreliable.
He just won’t admit he was wrong. That is not the sign of a true leader.
Speak for yourself, he just endorsed scuzzo last week.
old blow in the wind Newt.
Newt knows history, and Newt sees the wave coming...we’re coming to take our Constitution back from the socialists. When the wave ebbs Newt will ride out on it like all politicians...
The following members of Congress are Marxists who have rebranded themselves as Progressives in an attempt to hide their agenda
Nancy Pelosi was one of the original members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus and only left when she was named Minority Leader.
She is now Speaker of the House and 2 heartbeats away from President of the United States.
All members are members of the Democratic Party or caucus with the Democratic Party. There are currently 82 total declared Progressives including 79 voting Representatives, 2 non-voting Delegates, and 1 Senator.

The Congressional Progressive Caucus (CPC) was established in 1991 by five members of the United States House of Representatives: Representatives Ron Dellums (D-CA), Lane Evans (D-IL), Peter DeFazio (D-OR), Maxine Waters (D-CA), and Bernie Sanders (I-VT). Then-Representative Bernie Sanders was the convener and first. The founding members were concerned about the economic hardship imposed by the deepening recession, the growing inequality brought about by the timidity of the Democratic Party response at the time.
Additional House representatives joined soon, including Major Owens (D-NY), Nydia Velazquez (D-NY), David Bonior (D-MI), Bob Filner (D-CA), Barney Frank (D-MA), Maurice Hinchey (D-NY), Jim McDermott (D-WA), Jerrold Nadler (D-NY), Patsy Mink (D-HI), George Miller (D-CA), Pete Stark (D-CA), John Olver (D-MA), Lynn Woolsey (D-CA), and Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).
Newt was moderately diplomatic and unrepentant. He still implied that Conservatives can’t win the presidency without becoming RINOs.
So, Newt *was* strong in calling the “Pelosi wing” of the dems as socialist but he didn’t include 0bama and he did not seem to have changed his mind about anything. That will keep him down and out with the rising powers of the Conservative movement.
Newt isn’t a stopped clock, he’s a stopped calendar.
He needs to go away, or become a commentator for the WNBA (same thing).
F*** off, Newt!
Clearly Gingrich was on the wrong side in NY23. Just as clearly he belatedly realized that, and to his credit he manned up and corrected his error.
Now he’s on the right side. Even President Reagan was once a democrat, before he corrected that error.
The fact Gingrich has done a 180, and so clearly gotten it is significant.
The GOP just might, have gotten the message!
Finally. Perhaps. The GOP will start fighting...
It’s gotta start somewhere. Might as well be Newt. He’s already shown he’s up to it, once.
For all his faults, he changed history, and brought us back from the brink once already.
If he’s back in the fight, let’s please support him.
He’s right.
actually, a lot of them are communists teetering on facists.
Hey Newtster, do us all a favor and take an extremely long walk off an extremely short pier.
No, Newt.
Demoncrats have moved beyond socialism.
Demoncrats are COMMUNISTS!
WAKE UP NEWT!
little Newtie Gingrich sold out conservatism. plain and simple. I have NO use for him. cannot even stand to hear him speak........ever since he bought into global warming he lost me, and his support of Scozzafava only proves I was right.
FUNG.
shouldn't that read ...Gingrich's SLAP-down...?
(lol!)
What did Newt have to say about that moment he snuggled up to Pelosi on the sofa on national TV to point out the need for bipartisanship to combat the effects of man made global warming? The POS lost many of us at that moment.
Newt needs to develop some concern over socialists when they have an “R” after their names.
Exactly!
Like NY-23 itself - there are better alternatives.
“Colin Powell is a great American. I’m proud to be a Republican. Dick Cheney is a great American. I’m glad both of them are Republicans,” Gingrich said, referencing a debate between the two leaders—Face The Nation June 2009
Welcome back Newt.
Oh please. I watched him and he still doesn’t get it. He still thinks party of principle. A smarter man would have admitted he was wrong but I guess Newt isn’t that smart.
Quit being a sucker.
Old Newt, the fag, running to the front of the masses, claiming leadership.
Thank’s Newt. Go sit down. We knew the Democrats are Socialists. Republicans too.
Newt’s a oxygen thief. MSM designated( along with others ) ‘voice’. As in Al Sharpton, Jessy Jackson is the MSM black voice.
That’s the secret to RINOs and why republicans keep electing them: they say what they need to say to get what they want. Newt is a jerk and needs to stop trying to influence the party.
Now, that's funny. True but funny.
(Hurl)
Sorry, I couldn't disagree more. I was yelling at him for being the party line jerk he is. He also stated he didn't believe the NY23 race means anything in the grand scheme of things. He refused to acknowledge that the Conservatives "won". What I heard was Newt still carrying GOP water while diminishing the significance of our movement.
Nope, IMO Newt is now irrelevant.
Newt has his finger in the air checking the political winds.
___________________________________________________________
Yep. He’s had it stuck in his backside all this time.
You give him far too much credit. He said he supported the Communist because 11 members of the local GOP committee vited for her.
He wieghed in on the race with zero research, thinking that his name would carry the day. At least Pawlenty was honest enough to say he was not following the race closely.
Newt can never be counted on. He is a smart man, but an unprincipled and an unbridled one. He was cheating on his second wife by sleeping with a DEMOCRATIC staffer during the Clinton years—now his third wife.Think that didn;t play a role in why he was shut down by the Clintons in 1995?
Newt had no problem sitting on a couch with Nazi Pelosi, trying to convince us global warming is real.Cap and trade is a good deal, according to Newt. That’s traitorous in my book.
He has no problem crapping on conservatives. He is a chameleon, a cousin to the newt. In other words, a political whore.
The real leader in this race was Sarah Palin. She called out the RINOs who were supporting a Communist and rebranding the Communist as a Republican, and Palin threw her support to Doug Hoffman, and changed the race. That’s because Sarah is principled and controlled. And Palin is not testing the political winds to see which way they are bloewing first.
Newt is a smart man, but he thinks he so smart that he can blow smoke up everyone’s rear. Those days are over.
He’s a historian. Well, history is going to change bigtime in 2010—hope he sees it coming.
Don’t concern yourself with Newt being rehabilitated. He is not worthy of your sympathy or help. He needs to go co-write some more historical novels. He’ll do just fine.
But his day is over. There are new and better leaders on the horizon.
That's when he lost me. Then I saw him cuddling with Sharpton and there's no chance that I will ever support him again.
If he started as a democrat, and with age and responsibility realized he was wrong, I could accept that, I really could. I know I read a quote on here about being a liberal when your young and a conservative when your old.
But this man came out of the gate as a conservative. His contract with america is what put him on the map. He has since gone liberal. It is all too obivious he is riding whatever coattails he thinks will keep his books selling and invites from the MSM coming.
IF he has truly learned of his folly, the ONLY way for him to proceed is QUIETLY supporting the candidates that are conservative. He needs to fall in line and not jump in front of the parades. There is a reason he has NOT aligned himself with the tea party movement. They don’t want him. His only hope is to continue to support “moderate republicans”. That is what he hung his hat on, and conservatives aren’t buying what he’s selling.
When Newt is good, he’s good .... but he lacks consistency and you know that there will be more smack-the-palm-to-the-forehead statements forthcoming.
