No way they threw at him. If they didn’t want to pitch to him they would have walked him. Guess he did’t want a bruise the Goldie’s daughter might see. He’s a crybaby.

If they gave him intentional walks it would look to obvious he intimidated him.....he had the best hit of his career last night.

I didn’t know she was Goldie’s daughter till the other day....

I must be one of the few women around who doesn’t keep up on celebrity gossip.

Hmmm. If you get hit by 3 fastballs in 2 games, I think you have a right to be unhappy. Although, I didn’t hear that Rodriguez complained, though.

It’s to accomodate the “strikes” for Burnett and Howard has to hit (vs. striking out) the ball first to get on base.

The officiating in this Series has been pretty bad for both sides.

If i was going to I'd make my own. Got a good book about the history of the Yankgeeks. Seems Col. Rupert had the owner of the Athletics in his pocket. They've been buying players to win since the 20's

Gotta love their business sense though.

BTW, not a Boston fan or any other AL team. I figure it’s 9 guys on a side: 9 men in the field, same 9 guys bat. That’s baseball. The DH is welfare for over-the-hill-outfielders.

I’m no fan of the Yankees, but disagree with hitting a player to make a point. Too much at risk. It can and has backfired on teams before.

Aroid did complain. He spent a while telling the home plate “It’s pretty obvious”.

Although, I don’t see what’s to be gained from plunking him when he had been doing a pretty good job of striking out alot up until the HR.

He said to the umpire....”3 hits...I’m sensing a pattern here”

No reason to throw at him. Tell my what was to be gained. He’s been a crybaby his whole career.

He is not that feared. And if he is, walk him; why hit him when you will handcuff every other pitcher you bring in. Guess he has little understanding of the game. He won’t need to manage anyway. He’s being way overpaid. He can be the celebrity he wants to be in a few years. Probably do a Rap album.

I just did a news search on “world series” — the leftist trash at Google has Huffpo as the top link.

Final at bat by Damon last night was the best I can ever remember (by any player). Two out and two strikes on Damon and the Yanks pour on three runs against the Phillie’s top closer? Hate the Yanks all you want but they are one heck of a team — and a lot of fun to watch.

Yanks can play under pressure.

Absolutely. That's a trait Seinbrenner always looked for and, obviously, paid well for.

I've been a Yankee fan for as long as I can remember. I suffered through the Horace Clarke era. I was thrilled when Steinbrenner took over and finally brought (bought) some talent to the Yanks. Free agency would have come to baseball sooner or later. Some of my best memories are sitting in Yankee Stadium with my dad in the mid-late 70's watching them do what they do best.

You are so lucky. Cherish those memories.

I plan on going to more games next season. When my grandson gets old enough to appreciate the games, I plan on taking him with me.
