Maybe we should ask the Mythbusters to do a definitive study?
Mythbusters are about as far from actual scientific testing as you can get. I use for my example as to why they are baseless in fact the episode where they tested the myth that rear wheel drive cars provide better traction on icy roads in reverse. They had one of their unqualified assistants ask for a ride after the first of two tests in a car, thus altering its traction and suspension capabilities. I don’t know how anybody takes them seriously. Sorry if this seems like a rant, but I hate to see seemingly intelligent people rely on them for anything other than mindless entertainment.
