*Many* years ago, MM ran a cartoon of the same guy wearing a tux, diving flippers and snorkel, wandering around town.
If he was rich, he was the town eccentric.
If he was poor, he was the town weirdo.
I’m fine with either.

Reminds me of the Far side cartoon “How nature says ‘stay away.” It had 3 or 4 animals (rattlesnake, blowfish, etc.) and a guy standing on a street corner with a bazooka, wearing an inner tube on his hips and a boot on his head.
