Somehow I missed that story. Wow.
Belkin's been off my list for a few years, but because of quality issues with a WiFi router I had. It would overheat and crash if large or sustained file transfers were attempted. It was a known and acknowledged issue, and Belkin recommended changing a setting so that the unit was throttled. Totally unacceptable. So I got rid of that unit and put Belkin on my shiite-list. I've avoided purchasing their products ever since, and this incident merely reassures me of the wisdom of it.
