Government Sachs had 119 trading days in the last two quarters that they made over $100 Million. They only had three losing days in two quarters. This is the most awesome performance of any trading institution in the history of trading [barring Hillary Clinton]. Over the weekend Lord [Lloyd] Blankfein said that Goldman is ... "doing the work of God!" Does God really care if people make money selling an over valued stock market so much so that He sends the Federal Reserve Bank and Goldman Sachs to squeeze those shorts in the same way that He sent Mother Theresa to care for the hungry and poor in Calcutta. Or, Is Goldman Sachs more like the Blues Brothers, who thought that their crimes were okay because they believed they were ... "On a Mission From GOD!"

Just when the government decided to bailout AIG a member of the New York Federal Reserve Bank bought shares of Goldman Sachs. In December 2008, weeks after the payments to the banks were authorized in November, Friedman bought 37,300 shares of Goldman stock at $80.78 a share, according to SEC filings. On Jan. 22, he bought 15,300 more at $66.61. Both purchases took place before the payments to Goldman Sachs were publicly disclosed under pressure from Senator Dodd in March. On Oct. 26, Goldman Sachs stock closed at $179.37 a share, meaning Friedman had paper profits of $5.4 million.
