I heard it from a Middie who was disappointed he did not get into it. :)

It's not “I love the taste of chicken” - though a worthy effort on your part.

Having graduated from one of the non-nautical service academies, I have a bit more insight.

A safety school is the common term for a school that one attends if not accepted by his or her first choice. Hence, the proposition is that the boat people dream of Kings Point but console themselves with Annapolis.

“Guys giving their all with little hope of professional football contracts; many will soon be facing our nation’s enemies. God bless all our Armed Forces.”

Heck those guys are going in the Navy. Unless they go Marine option or SEAL they won’t be “facing” the enemy.

GO ARMY.

Yeah, I know, our football team sucks. But...GO ARMY!!!

Unless Army cadets go into certain specialties they won't see combat anytime soon.

BTW, Naval Air is a dangerous enough profession in peacetime. It involves ground support combat these days over unforgiving terrain. Aviation and the Marine Corps are the most sought service selections.

Just Army vs Navy ribbing man. I’m a UH-60 pilot in the Army. My dad was a “surface warrior” in the Navy. My brother a Marine Corps captain. Yet I still make fun of them as they make fun of me.

“pullus” can also mean “blackish” but that doesn’t make any sense either.

LOL! I'm guessing you're a zoomie, and that you flew C-141s.

That's alright by me. I'm good friends with a lot of zoomies.

No doubt you are a better person for having zoomies as friends.

Actually, more than a few Academy grads have died in Iraq and Afghanistan. A significant portion of every graduating class goes Infantry every year.
