Best Buy “Happy Eid al-Adha” makes Conservative Christians go crazy

As you can see here (via TechCrunch) a few people are mad that BestBuy’s thanksgiving advertisement features a 14-letter phrase (or 15 if you count the hyphen). Who’s going to BestBuy this weekend?

Screw Best Buy and Geek Squad. I will not shop there in the future.

Drudge has been silent on this. Wonder why.

They have a month to rectify this. If there is no front page “Merry Christmas” and “Happy Hanukkah” on their future ads, they will be truly dead to me.

As it is, they didn’t even have a “Happy Thanksgiving,” just a “Shop Thanksgiving.” Thanksgiving is a much bigger holiday than Eid.

Too bad. Best Buys was actually improving its lousy customer service, and it is the biggest electronics store around here.

But Best Buys should remember what country it’s in and what our holidays are (hint: this is NOT a “Muslim country”).

What? No happy Advent Sunday?

Seriously, this is all part of an attempt to isolate Thanksgiving as some kind of Christian holiday like Christmas or Easter. At Christmas, out of our desire to feel inclusive we feel obligated to recognize the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah.

Leftists for some reason believe Thanksgiving is an inherently Christian holiday, so recognition of other religions is required to atone for the embarrassingly large number of Christians in America.

Conveniently, the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha falls close to Thanksgiving this year, so leftists can atone for the original American sin of Thanksgiving.

Actually it is...at least here in the U.S.

Should have written:

Leftists see Thanksgiving as an exclusively Christian holiday.

Regardless, Thanksgiving is in no Christian liturgical calendar. It is a holiday created by, and declared by, man.

There was a thread on this same subject yesterday.
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/2392326/posts

I then started a thread about it on their website and it has blown up.

http://www.forums.bestbuy.com/t5/Weekly-Sales/bd-p/Sales

I encourage people to go there and let your voices be heard. We will never stop this without taken action where we see that America is being taken away and changed.

I called the White House to complain and got, "Press 1 for English".

The Muzzies have gotten wind of that forum and there is one person out there (sounds like the same person) who is starting multiple threads under different aliases.

Drudge’s silence is infuriating. Wonder if he is a whore to Best Buy. I don’t recall seeing BB banner ads on his site however. All he has to do is link to one of the any number of blogs carrying this story and BB will suffer a 10% drop in holiday sales. At least.

What does that mean?

I’ve got some bad news for you sunshine, the US is the ONLY place the holiday is celebrated. So what’s your point?

“this is all part of an attempt to isolate Thanksgiving as some kind of Christian holiday like Christmas or Easter”.
You are exactly correct.
And, who the heck ever heard of Eid al-Adha for G-D’s sake before Obama!!
This ad by Best Buy is absurd.
