That's how it goes in the Iron Bowl. In many ways, the record of each team leading up to this game can pretty much be thrown out the window. What Auburn brought to the game was what the Iron Bowl is all about! I thought the trick plays and all were premature, but hey...they put points on the board!
In the end, the right team won :) Roll TIDE ROLL!!!
Well I thought that Bama was waiting in the weeds to pounce on Auburn. But Bama sleeping at the wheel until late in the game. Then it woke up and played college football.
The beauty of UConn having taken down ND last Saturday and Cincy in the top ten is that at last, the Big East has the RESPECT richly EARNED now as a football conference.:)
Please post number143. Thanks.
The richly earned respect for the Big East as a football conference means now it will be made known beyond that of being a basketball conference.
They’re saying this morning on TMZ (via Drudge) that his wife beat the crap out of him....a real soap opera going on here! LOL
Alrighty, it’s High Noon on Rivalry Week, so let’s do this thing. Games going on right now
Clemson/South Carolina
Ole Miss/Mississippi State
N Carolina/NC State
Oklahoma State/Oklahoma
In about an hour
New Mexico/TCU
TD Clemson! C.J. Spiller (who else) runs the opening kickoff back for the TD. This after Carolina was offsides on their first kickoff attempt.
Clemson 7
South Carolina 0
Okay, that was back in 2006 when I was at my somewhat annual Giants road trip in Seattle for the Giants/Mariners at Safeco Field. We got swept that weekend and oddly enough that’s one of my better pictures. I think I should find a few of my old pics from elementary school where it looked like I had a pair of Chicklets for front teeth. Good times.
UNC should be playing Dook not State today. :(
Looks like you already posted #143. ;)
It used to be that the Big East with Miami was similar to what the Pac-10 is with USC, where it was the Big 1, Little everybody else. Not now though, as I think on the whole the league is a lot better.
As a sidenote, Steve Kragthorpe is going to get fired at Louisville. Kind of a shame, I thought he’d work out for them.
Yeah, why did they move up that game a few weeks and play the NC State game this week?
TD South Carolina! On the option, Brian Maddox takes it in for the Gamecocks.
Clemson 7
South Carolina 7
I have no idea.
Coming up momentarily is a game that has BCS implications, and specifically for the non-AQ Boise State. It’s Bedlam in Norman, between Oklahoma State and Oklahoma. Should Oklahoma State win, they would likely get into a BCS game ahead of BSU. If you want to make any arguments for or against, I’m all ears (or eyes as the case may be).
TD South Carolina! Turnovers are killing Clemson, as the Gamecocks get their second score off a turnover.
South Carolina 14
Clemson 7
Couple of score updates right now
North Carolina 3
NC State 0
:19 in the 1st
Ole Miss 3
Miss St 0
7:47 in the 1st
Ryan Broyles gets a huge punt return to get the ball 1st and goal for OU and then Landry Jones fumbles and gives the ball right back to OSU.
All this is, of course, pending review.
In Starkville
Ole Miss 3
Miss St 3

Oklahoma State does get the ball back. OU gave away a chance to take the lead.
