Loved the Christmas album “Three Ships” by Jon Anderson back in the ‘80s. It hasn’t been available for years.

Also like the Christmas album by Asleep At The Wheel.

Can’t stand “Silent Night”. It would be tolerable if people didn’t do a slow slide up the third on “heavenly peeeeee-eeeeeace”.

I'm with you. "Stille Nacht/Silent Night" is excruciating (no pun intended) as sung my most people. Besides the screechy glissando you mention, the part that gets me is when people sing it:

Actually, this has been re-issued on CD, 25th anniversary edition. Available via Amazon. (I think I’ll pick one up myself...)

While not exactly traditional, I’d have to say it’s my favorite Christmas album.

Downloading the Jon Anderson album right now on iTunes. I had forgotten about that album, had it on cassette tape in the 1980s and never updated it to CD. Now I'm getting it straight to MP3!
