I was going to ask the same thing.
It was a one car accident, I am sure it wasn't the tree's fault.
It usually never is. LOL... But, then again, Tiger Woods did admit that... :-)

As you all know, I had a single-car accident earlier this week, and sustained some injuries. I have some cuts, bruising and right now I'm pretty sore.
This situation is my fault, and it's obviously embarrassing to my family and me. I'm human and I'm not perfect. I will certainly make sure this doesn't happen again.
This is a private matter and I want to keep it that way. Although I understand there is curiosity, the many false, unfounded and malicious rumors that are currently circulating about my family and me are irresponsible.
The only person responsible for the accident is me. My wife, Elin, acted courageously when she saw I was hurt and in trouble. She was the first person to help me. Any other assertion is absolutely false.
This incident has been stressful and very difficult for Elin, our family and me. I appreciate all the concern and well wishes that we have received. But, I would also ask for some understanding that my family and I deserve some privacy no matter how intrusive some people can be.
If the accident happened on private property, why are the State Police involved???

I am so tired of hearing about Tiger Woods and the party crashers crap. Monday, after a long weekend, I expected to hear more coverage on the Washington state shootings, and I watched Fox all day and heard practically nothing about it. I saw more on CNN than Fox. Christ, Shepard Smith just went on and on about Tiger Woods until I wanted to throw something at my TV.

Well, there was an accident that happened to me in a McDonald's parking lot, which is private property, too -- but -- I called the police and they came on out.
I didn't think I was supposed to call McDonald's headquarters about the accident... LOL...
And then, there was the time that a car damaged a fence on private property, between me and the neighbor. The car ended up in the front yard of the neighbor's house. The fence was on private property and the car was on private property, but we called the police... :-)
