A video of Marilyn Monroe allegedly smoking marijuana has been made public some 50 years after it was filmed.
The film was recently bought for $275,000 (£166,000) by US collector Keya Morgan, who is making a documentary on the death of Monroe in August 1962.
He tracked it down to an attic in New Jersey - the person who filmed it said it was taken at an informal gathering in 1958 or 1959.
The film shows a personal side rarely seen in public since the actress achieved stardom.
At one point in the film, Marilyn points her nose toward her armpit and laughs.

We got high...and nobody died or was remotely hurt. It sickens me to think such a beautiful moment could have ended with us locked up with murderers and thieves.
Prosecute actual crimes that hurt people and not responsible use of mother nature's plants.

Rare, limited use of MJ = no problem. Lovers have fun in fields. People take a break from their worldly troubles.
Regular use of MJ = big problem. Lovers turn into garden gnomes. People lose their drive, their sharpness. Society runs downhill fast.
Do I have a solution that makes useful legal distinction of the former from the latter? No. But I’ll point out that “mother nature’s plants” can really do a number on you and society, and many libertarians here want to ignore that.

But is it as shocking as the footage of her giving a “Lewinsky” to an unidentified man sitting in a chair?
It looks more like a cigarette to me. She’s holding it and smoking it like a cigarette. But, it was a nice video to watch with everyone smiling and laughing in a simpler time.

You left out the part where everyone was high, you had sex with strangers and ended up in line at the “free clinic” because of that little “gift” you got...yep, those days are gone...now, with all of the STD out there, you can end up getting a bigger gift...or worse...but, you are probably right, we could all use pot chronically and live like they do in Jamaica...mon...
It’s a cigarette...the potheads love to try to make everything revolve around their beloved Herb...in those days a joint was a thin little stick you rolled under your fingernails, not some 1/4 pounder...
To 1 - I’m only curious. Could not all that have occurred without the (I assume) pot smoking?

And the mailed fist of government can do a number on you and society as well ... it is quite ridiculous that people could potentially face prison simply for the possession of a certain plant. Maybe that's why the 'Rats can talk so cavalierly about jailing people for not buying health insurance under their socialized medicine scheme.
I won't even start on the loss of our freedoms and expansion of a federal police state in the name of fighting an imaginary war.

Yep. Dr. Daniel Amen has published a book titled - Change Your Brain, Change Your Life - which has many brain scans within its pages. One is of a long time user of marijuana. The holes in that person’s brain, and by holes I mean there is no longer synapse activity, is no different than an alchoholic’s brain.
Don’t just take my word for it, varyouga; go look in the book for yourself.

Hollyweird types smoking dope? Next thing they’ll ask us to believe they had wild parties where they drank beverages stronger than cider and people of opposite sexes held hands and cuddled. Unbelievable, I must say. (smirk)
Nonsense. I’ve never been a pot smoker, but being a lifelong musician I can spot easily enough.
If that’s a joint, Cheech and Chong must have rolled it. It’s fat and is a perfect tube - just like a CIGARETTE rolled in a factory.
And if they were smoking pot, she wouldn’t puff and blow it right out either.
Strong use of mj destructive? Oh no, that just can't be. Because according to all the pot apologists here, unlike every other drug known to mankind, mj has no pernicious effects no matter how much is used. (smirk) By the way, I'm for easing most of the laws on pot use. Just don't tell me that heavy use cannot be destructive.
