Tiger Woods Confesses
The Business Insider ^ | 12/2/09 | Nicholas Carlson

"I have not been true to my values and the behavior my family deserves."

Tiger Woods, allegedly caught cheating on his wife, just posted an apology on his Web site.

Bonus: See who forced Tiger Woods to confess.

We think it's good enough to keep him in Nikes for years:

I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart. I have not been true to my values and the behavior my family deserves. I am not without faults and I am far short of perfect. I am dealing with my behavior and personal failings behind closed doors with my family. Those feelings should be shared by us alone.

Although I am a well-known person and have made my career as a professional athlete, I have been dismayed to realize the full extent of what tabloid scrutiny really means. For the last week, my family and I have been hounded to expose intimate details of our personal lives. The stories in particular that physical violence played any role in the car accident were utterly false and malicious. Elin has always done more to support our family and shown more grace than anyone could possibly expect.

I wonder how long he’ll stay behind closed doors. A sabbatical from golf for an extended period?

Who cares????? Only the gossip people care about this stuff. He’s the only one that looks at himself in the mirror.

Really well he represents national brands and maybe people don’t want their children influenced by the likes of him anymore then clinton.

Any period away from his merchandising is going to cost him millions.

Hopefully Elin has hired a great lawyer, and will truly teach Woods a lesson about how ADULTERY is supposed to end.

People need to leave the guy alone. Mid-career/life crisis or whatever. Doesn’t matter.

It always shocks me when people who make more money than I can believe and more then anyone I know will EVER earn, put together.... and are clueless about HOW TO LIVE!

What is so complicated about doing what is right? I am certain that with even a tenth of what some of these people earn, I would be just as honorable and self respecting as I am on my piddling income.

Finally, something other than TMZ, National Enquirer and unnamed sources with their adventures. Shame of you Tiger! Now get your life back in order and take care of your family. Don't make us wait too long before getting back out on the course!

Hopefully your kids don't have any Tiger Woods video games or Wheaties in the cabinet.

Woods' ugly head is usually advertised on these types of things.

If true, how could he possibly continue his extramarital affairs after that? Arrogance and elitism rarely end well (are you listening Obama??)

“but please keep buying my stuff.”

Do you really think many people buy things based on who is welling them? GM would not be BK now if that were true.

I have never purchased anything based on the person selling it.

A mid-life crisis could be resolved a number of ways, but this isn't a mid-life crisis.

Possible resolutions would include a change of career, relocation. And one's marriage would stay intact.

This is called adultery.

And it matters because it's a sin before God, a sin against one's body and a sin against the spouse and children.
