Now your are talking brother! That is(was) one fine woman.
While you may have won on the field of honor, him having your arm in his hands sure sounds like a loss to me.
I didn’t think the show was that bad.
His comment about guns on the street were spot on.
He clearly says it in reference to thugs having illegal guns on the streets shooting at cops. I don’t see a problem with anyone thinking that is a real problem.
He also said in the very same context to the guy who they checked who had a legal gun...he clearly said we aren’t after people like you.
Seagal is the real deal in martial arts, people rip him but they don’t know anything about him.
I am sure the LEO’s in that parrish are pretty happy to have Seagal working with them and training them. He will ultimately save some of their lives.
At least the show isn’t ridiculous like COPS, this was pretty balanced.
People used to say that Bruce Lee was also fake because he didn’t go around beating up people all the time — as they would have done if they had that ability to. I think it is that difference in mentality that distinguishes a master — in every field; they don’t have this need and compulsion to prove themselves.
That actually is the great lesson of all the martial arts (movies) — like the Samurai Trilogy.
Seagal has the potential to be the greatest martial arts teacher ever because of his “being,” rather than “doing,” in the conventional manner you require for someone to prove themselves to you.
To you, only beating up somebody to a pulp would be “proof,” instead of the much more significant ways that most will not even imagine. If you want just sheer numbers of people killed as proof, I think many of these mass murderers will satisfy your cravings in this manner.
It’s like people can say “professional wrestling is fake,” but when those 300 lb. guys are somersaulting through air and landing on tables or one another, it requires a high degree of physical ability just to avoid injury from their “stunts.”
I personally like Seagal’s acting style — as himself — because one doesn’t get to see that authenticity otherwise. That’s a real leap in television, from the overly scripted to actual people — now “acting” authentically. Sure it seems improbable that the captains are riding around patrol arresting people in the ghettoes, but that’s not a set, and they are actually riding around in speeding cars — which is probably the most dangerous thing a person can do.
When people actually move that fast, with deliberation, you have to figure they can do anything they want to do, and you won’t have the ability to stop it.
So these demonstrations of ability, are very real indications of actual abilities to do anything else — that they need to do. And when they are that good, they feel very little concern for proving it to those who have never demonstrated their own merits as ultimate judges of such things.
Shooting in Olympic sports is considered one of the highest achievements because of the mastery to still and control every muscle in their body. A master is a master of his own art.
I think for that exposure alone, this program is worth watching — and learning from.
Under Siege...one of the best action movies of all time.
I have broken my right wrist 2 times. I started working while I was still wearing a cast after the first break. I noticed that if you are squatting in a doorway and get off balance you will fall like a tree. There is no usable arm on that side. ;0)
After the second break I started unloading and stacking horse feed while I was wearing a short cast. I had to remove the strap that went between my thumb and index finger. Hurt like the devil but I managed.
No physiotherapy was needed. My shoulder did freeze up. They put me in a whirl pool for a while then grabbed my arm and jerked hard to break it loose. That hurt!
My husband was laughing last week at clips of the Saints crowd on the news. He said if national media gets hold of our fans, everyone will think New Orleans is the most illiterate city in the nation (more so than they already think that). "Seriously," he said, "Listen to our cheer: 'Who dat tink dey go beat dem Saints? Who dat? Who dat?'" I've even got it in my tag line, and I'm a reasonably educated person!
Y’all are the falcons fiercest NFC rivals, but I like y’all saints fans much better than the panther/buc fans, in general.
Segal actually lives in Eds, Tn.. a suburb of Memphis
Hi S H, now that is funny......chuckled
My father use to say, I’ll rip your arm off at the elbow and beat you over your head with the bloody stump....but he was a sweet man and a great father.... he always said it with a smile on his face........
Well, people can say what they want about New Orleans and Louisiana in general, but we have perfected the good time.
Why yes you have. And I love me some Weeziana wimmins.
My favorite Segal movie moment is that flick (cant remember the name) where his character is in a coma for like ten years and he wakes up but still has his tan. LOL
