The purpose of carbon trading is about imposing oligarchy.

Those who already own carbon-emitting industry get issued carbon credits. Outsiders who want to create new industry must buy carbon credits as yet another start-up cost.

Make start-up costs high enough, and the established players will not have to worry about competition.

This is one of the many parts of this whole massive fraud that I don't get. The gov't is basically going to create an artificial bubble for an artificial commodity. And, as we all know, all bubbles burst eventually.

It creates enormous profits for those who are able to get in early, and keep their greed in check sufficiently to get out before the bust.

But this time we know it is a bubble and we know it will be worthless and counter productive and we know it will burst.

And our knowledge won't make a damn bit of difference, because the feds will cover the bust and pass the costs to all of us regardless.

Our knowledge will make all the difference this time. Invest wisely.
