I live right now galveston bay, gonna get my telescope out and maybe I can get a look. Very bnig bang, biggest I’ve felt in a long long time.

A huge explosion has been reported at a plant on Port Road in the Seabrook area. Viewers have called and e-mailed, saying they felt the blast as far away as Clear Lake. An 11 News crew is en route to the scene.

That is really scary, usually the news is focused on any event, non-stop, with 3 minutes, MAX. I hope everyone's alright.

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — There’s been an explosion in the Seabrook area, KPRC Local 2 reported.

Pasadena police, which is assisting in the incident, said the explosion happened at about 8:50 a.m.

Black smoke could be seen for miles.

KPRC Local 2 is working to determine where the explosion originated and if there have been any injuries.

Definitely in Seabrook, a few miles from me. Explosion shook my house at 8:47 and I can see a large plume of smoke drifting south. Schools have sheltered in place.
