I can never look at this the same way after I learned he was involved in the porn fake honey trap plot to overthrow a government leader.
One of the local radio guys in my area said the greatest Christmas song was “Jingle Bell Rock”. No, this song, by Irving Berlin, is the greatest.
Huh?
Yep, google it.
Sukarno.
Bing sure could sing.
I saw the movie a few days ago and was disappointed. It wasn’t as good as I remembered.
Come on....Bing can’t shine “Dominick the Christmas Donkey’s” shoes
Just tonight got word from a young man investigating my Grandmother's linage.
Born in the late 1800's, she brought 11 wonderful people into the world. She had sisters and cousins who had as many or more. One my mother told me, had 24 kids.
Bing was a hero to many for an image, and his voice. If you haven't known people whose whole statement of being on this planet was that image of excellence in fatherhood, and being a loving faithful spouse, I feel sorry for you.
I don't believe my Dad was unique in his spanking technique; He warned me plenty of times. He clearly explained the consequences before hand. He told me calmly and sternly that he loved me and that was why I needed to learn this lesson, then he spanked me until I cried like a baby.
Somewhere before, after or around then I became one of the few who knew my father and respected him as such and in virtually every way possible.
He was part of, and probably a product of many great generations that came before.
Second Christmas without him blues. I suppose Bing Crosby can't hurt.
Thanks for posting this link. I love to hear Bing sing “White Christmas.” It makes me feel that my parents are nearby... They are both gone now.
