Zerobama has managed to direct most of the pain of this recession on the backs of his "enemies"; Republicans, men, small business, flyover country , private industry. A couch potatoe revolution, simply brilliant.
At the time the so-called stimulus bill was passed, men had been the main vitims of rising unemployment (unemployment figures for women had not gone up at all, or very little). Initially the bill would have focussed money on “shovel-ready” projects but that would have meant most of the jobs would have gone to men—so the feminists insisted on changes to make the job breakdown more 50-50. (I don’t know how it has actually worked in practice, and good luck getting any honest numbers.)
