Rocky Mount, N.C. Rocky Mount police officers are searching for Risheem Robinson, 18, who was accused of shooting inside Golden East Crossing Mall, at 1100 N. Wesleyan Blvd., around 7 p.m. Saturday.
Robinson shot at three young men ages 16, 15 and 14 in the mall's common area near the entrance to Best Buy, Rocky Mount police Capt. Laura Fahnestock said. No one was injured, but a wall and glass doors were damaged.
Police arrested the 16-year-old, Murray Chamberlain, and the 14-year-old, whose name was not released. The 15-year-old was released after questioning. Police charged Chamberlain and the 14-year-old with resist, obstruct or delay.

Charging the people who were being shot at with obstruction is a bit far fetched considering there is no legal obligation to assist in an investigation.
ping
Risheem.
At least the shooter understands that "keepin' it real" sometimes demands more than just looking cool.
That's what happens when you hold your firearm sideways.
The punk out to thank god for PC, otherwise a sane society might seek to recycle this character pronto.
get the rope
An aspiring rap “artist.” Just trying to establish his “creds.”
“I’ll bet Risheems dad is going to severely discipline him over this one.”
Yes, he’ll confiscate his Archie comic books for a week and make him help his mom wash the dishes!
In all seriousness, how does one “discipline” a kid who goes this far? That horse fled the barn long ago and there ain’t no bringing it back. If there has been any “parenting” in this kid’s past, I’m sure no one will find any evidence of it.
Now all the relatives will be quoted in the news, saying what a good boy he is. I’m glad my standards are different.
I recognize your sarcasm, but can you tell that you hit a hot button with me ;-)
“In all seriousness, how does one discipline a kid who goes this far?”
Once you attempt murder, you’re no longer “a kid.”
He should be “disciplined” just like an adult who did the same thing.
By the way, confiscating Archies at my house is a very effective punishment for my 8 year old. Since he’s never shot up a mall I’ve never had to take them away for a week, however.
I agree with you totally - if he’s 18, he’s old enough to enlist, so he’s old enough to be tried as an adult.
But he’s running with 14, 15 and 16 year olds...probably not the most mature of 18 year olds. Maybe taking away his Archies WOULD work...
I don’t care what age he is as he is attempting murder. I just care about the solution.
And I’m going to flip flop, and say his Archies probably aren’t of much importance to him after all...I doubt he can read. Can we agree on a public lashing followed by a week long stay in the pillory, followed by a nice long solitary jail sentence?
Rodger that!
Thanks for the ping. I was walking through this very area in this mall about 5 PM on Saturday.
I went out of town right after that and only heard this news today.
The Robinson kid is quite the shooter if he got off 8 rounds and didn’t hit anyone at all! LOL
I think the point of that post was that it is likely Risheem has never even met his father.

One too many comments about it being the fault of societal inequity no doubt.
LOL. Actually, I read some of the comments before they were closed, and there was a little bit of racial stuff back and forth.
I guess the paper doesn’t have anyone to simply moderate the comments; they’d rather squelch *everyone’s* opinion.
