I concur. At the same time, speaking only for myself, my home is not here on this earth. When the Lord wills, then I will leave it for Heaven. In the meantime I try to live as He would have me, some days failing, but forgiven.
I probably know and believe in what the Bible teaches as well as you. IF married people(husband and wife) are in a “monogamous, faithful marriage”, there is very little possibility of either partner getting AIDS. I guess in your world, spouses have never cheated on each other. ;0)
I thought I was in a monogamous marriage and I was proven to be a fool.
You were NOT proven to be anything beyond Faithful. Certainly not a fool.
I was a fool since I refused to see what was happening. There is none so blind as those who will not see.
How many men and women do you think have cheated? I still say a faithful wife can get AIDS from her husband if he cheats.
Pervert. ;-)
And that would constitute both of them not living per the Bible. A faithful couple has almost zero chance.
How many, unfortunately many more than is right, which of course is 0. Can;t argue there. The original statement was that catching AIDS is not an issue with a faithful couple, a couple living as God intended. You were at risk, becasue that was not so. God does indeed love us and wants us to have a long, healthy, prosperous life.
I wish you so much better circumstances going forward.
Really? By any measure?
Let's put together how much has been spent on AIDS research and prevention from government and private sources since 1983 against what has been spent for cancer research and prevention for the same time period. Then let's divide each by the number of deaths from each disease for the same time period. You could not be more wrong.
And that is not counting the cost of $ 15 billion a year given to Africa to fight AIDS each year by us.
Cancer is still not defeated, whereas we have known how to cure AIDS/HIV for almost 25 years.AIDS could be stopped in its tracks by a simple change in behavior. Instead it has grown.
Cancer strikes for a myriad of reasons, only very few of which have to do with behavior.
Listen, I would like to apologize to you for my answer the other day. I could have said it in a nicer tone, but I didn’t because I was having a pissy day. Hope you understand.
