Some guy named Mike from Milwaukee, WI put together a 70-minute video review discussing the many reasons why the movie was horrible. And this isn’t your usual fanboy rant, this is an epic, well-edited well-constructed piece of geek film criticism.
This is astounding film making. Watch ALL of it.
Also see his video reviews of Star Trek Generations, Insurrection and First Contact (click on the 7th YouTube video's "Up Arrow" to get to more reviews)
Saw this after Damon Lindelof tweeted about it. This guy nails it.
I’m really uncomfortable going to a site called “Slash” anything.
First really funny thing was when he was listing example of movie protagonists by character name, and he calls Kevin Bacon “Kevin Bacon”.
The Empire Strikes Back remains the best Star Wars movie in my opinion, mainly because George Lucas didn’t produce it. He did edit the lastest release however, which just made it worse (in my opinion). Still, he deserves some credit for the original concept. Most people look beyond the sheer special effects when judging how good a movie is.
George Lucas didn’t direct it, I mean.
The review is hilarious! I remember being very dissapointed after watching the ‘new’ star wars movies. Now I know why!
Must be unemployed with time on his hands like all other Mikes in Milwaukee.
Bingo! After seeing all of the other stuff he’s done, I think Lucas ‘lucked’ his way through the first trilogy. It would’ve been spoiled by the second movie had he directed it himself.
Since I already despise Star Wars (”there, I said it” a la Mark Levin), and I don’t have 70 minutes, I will pass. But I am sure he’s right. :)

All three of the prequels sucked, IMHO.
Ditto on TESB...clearly the best of the six, followed by (imo) 4, 6, 3, 1, and 2 (the ABSOLUTE worst).
This is now the 30th anniversary of The Empire Strikes Back...to show how old it is, I first saw it at a drive-in theatre in Paramount, CA. Lines were around the block, for gas and for this movie. I fell asleep after eating my food, so I missed the part where Dark Helmet (sorry, Darth Vader) told Luke he was his father.
Just saw TESB today...first thing I watched, while pulling down the tree. My goodness, was that Carrie Fisher extremely NOT GUILTY! John Williams, liberal that he is, had a wonderful score, including one of the more recognizable themes in movie music history, The Imperial March. All the good guys lost something in that movie, and yet it was the best of them all.
I wonder what will be done to commemorate it, if anything. The 20 year of “Star Wars” brought the aforementioned Special Editions. The 30 year brought the Special Edition DVDs, with a copy of the remastered movie and the original movie for all 3 films. Maybe Blu-Ray?
What’s sad is that my kids, ages 8 and 10, think the newer SW films are the best. I’m hoping they change their minds as they grow older and wiser.
Jar Jar and the Ewoks are merchandising angles written into the script. Merchandising is where Lucas makes the real money off of the Star Wars franchise.
I am so warped I was rooting for the Empire in that movie with their magnificant fleet and AT-Ts.

Vulgar, hilarious, informative review by a homicidal maniac. More entertaining than the film it reviews, but not appropriate for kids or for the faint of heart. Also provides a decent introduction to film making.
great review. He is exactly right. I hated it as well
I tried to watch the first segment, as I am sympathetic to his thesis. However, two f-bombs in one minute disqualifies him. Also, it sounds like his voice has been processed for the witness protection program.
