"Dorgan's announcement represents an opportunity for Republicans: North Dakota is a Republican-leaning state, where President Obama got just 45% of the vote last year."

Hmmmm....

Potential Pickups..

Dodd, Specter, Reid. and maybe Brown for Teddy's Seat. Now this.

There are others I am sure, please chime in.

But that gets us to 45 if we snag this one too....

Republicans in North Dakota have been wanting the Governor John Hoven to run against Dorgan. Hoven has been in office since 2000.

Let’s hope Peter King changes his mind and runs against Gillibrand in NY. I think he could pick up this seat.

What’s the matter Dorgan, can’t live with yourself anymore? Feeling guilty about what you’re doing to the country and to you children and grand children’s future? Call up some of your Demorat friends and convince them to retire too. If you know any RINOs, talk to them too.

Unless something dramatic happens, I’d say Boxer is a long shot for defeat. That still doesn’t mean I would miss her or Feinstein if either one of them did lose.
