Sea Shepherd is the group, not their ship. They now have multiple ships, allowing them to fail exponentially more.

How "legal" the fishermen are is questionable, since it's an open secret that the Japanese whaling operations being conducted in the name of "research" is a crock. Nevertheless, Sea Shepherd is a bunch of reckless and dangerous fanatics.

My point is that the harvesting of the whales itself is questionably legal and is conducted for spurious “research” purposes as a smokescreen. I don’t blame the Japanese whaling crews, they’re just trying to make a living, I blame the higher-ups.

They aren’t shooting lasers at the whales, dude. They’re shooting them at the whaling SHIPS. Although knowing just how inept Sea Shepherd is, I wouldn’t be surprised if the lasers were totally harmless...they’ve tried to bluff having LRADs on their ships before.
