Yes, my Firefox runs poorly under XP.

Opening tabs uses lots of memory - I only have 256 mgs - then it bogs down. I have to reboot often.

Java sucks.

If you don't already have it, I would highly recommend the Firefox add-on "NoScript"

My dad was complaining with same issue - slow surfing...

I saw he was running just 256 of ram. I put another 512mb stick in his machine - viola!

He’s happy with it now.

(get more ram - its cheap!)

I think lot's of the websites and software expect the users are runiing with multiple Gigabyes of Memory....
