BERLIN - Millions of German bank cards have been affected by a "millennium bug"-like problem because they contain software that can't process the number 2010, an industry group said Tuesday.

There was a similar problem in Australia. The devices read the 10 in hex, turning it into 2016, and therefore considered all cards as expired (at least those with an expiration date earlier than 2016, which is most). Directly related to the y2k fixes.
That is interesting. There could be all kinds of little strange things waiting to happen.
