What? The slingshots that were issued didn't work?
To: Daffynition
They finally invented “safer bullets”.

Maybe the landowner should have a “beer summit” with the wolf.

22.250 bout as safe as it gets. ain’t had one double back or miss yet. Hold it... might have to take that back. an old 225 winchester everybody laughed @ about thirty years ago does a mighty fine job as well.

We once had a problem with neighbors’ dogs chasing our livestock back home. ‘-06 was probably a bit much, but it did solve the problem. Permanently.

Try 22-250 instead. Light JHPs. Nothing of the slug left for forensics.

I`ve done the same thing, raising cows with neighboring
sub-divisions closing in on a coupla our farms.
They let their dogs run loose and when they pack up they`ll
go after the newborn calves. I don`t enjoy killing a dog.
I`m trying to survive in a tough line of work
They come looking for their missing darling he`s 2` under

The same for deer. FiFi, Fluffy and fido pack up with a few strays. Cattle and deer have no chance in all the deep snow. After a few warm days and cold nights the dogs (and wolves) run ontop on the crust and cattle and deer are up to their bellies in snow just waiting for the first bite in the neck.

And to think, the State Motto of California used to be “Eureka”.
I like “Shoot, Shovel and Shut Up” much better.

Yep. Instead of a clean-kill, let’s wound and maim them. Dang bureaucrats.
