Joe Kennedy Cryptic Message on Facebook- is he throwing in the towel? (Vanity)

Joe Kennedy this evening posted a very cryptic message on his Facebook page indicating that he can't officially take his name off the ballot but it seems he is at least actively or mentally dropping out of the race.

Joe Kennedy For Senate Simply Put: 1. My name can not be removed from the ballot - 12/11/09 was the deadline. 2. I only have one vote to give and that is my own. 3. I have not and will not ask anyone to do anything but vote who they want to vote for. If you people to vote for your candidate you have 2 choices. Make your candidate someone who... they would want to vote for or find another candidate.

For that particular seat, the last year a Kennedy was not on the ballot was 1946. JFK in 1952 and 1958. Ted every 6 years from 1962 on. I would expect to see the name “Joe Kennedy” on the ballot this year.

If he withdraws, those DEMs who you’re talking about (who don’t know that he isn’t the “real” Joe Kennedy) wouldn’t know that he withdrew from the race.

Withdrawing from the race wouldn’t change his numbers much.
His voters don’t know they’re his voters yet. They’ll walk in as undecideds, or Coakley voters, or just Democrats, and walk out having voted for Kennedy, as they have every year since 1952. I’m talking about Kennedy voters.

You know.I don’t know.I went through Amherst today with my truck covered in Brown signs and.I really only saw one Coakley sign. And I was looking for signs too.So to me it looked a little indifferent.Which is good.

Well, what Joe Kennedy himself is saying is that if you talk to antiwar voters in MA, and say that there’s this guy called Joe Kennedy who is more antiwar than Coakley and you should vote for the most antiwar candidate, some antiwar voters might vote for Joe Kennedy instead of Coakley.

It has nothing to do with making them think it’s the real Joe Kennedy.

That’s what Joe Kennedy is saying. What I’m saying is that people should get Joe Kennedy signs and put them where there are almost all Democrats. Do that whether or not Joe Kennedy has dropped out of the race. Think really old people.

Most people, even in MA, are not paying as much attention to this race as we are.

Could it be a fake? (Someone posing as Kennedy?) I think all they do is ask for your e-mail address. I think the only thing facebook does is see if the e-mail address you provide is live. Someone could easily post a publicly available picture.

Think so ...

Joe Kennedy For Senate

“And I will value your vote and if I win the day I will earn that vote, and if the day passes I will use that vote to show other people what is possible with it and how I earned it and how they can earn it... Until there is an army of Small Government people on every ballot to vote for. Until people cant turn without a message of small government... See More... Every vote I get I will use to power the Small Government platform. Every Vote for Me is a Vote for Small Government and Every vote for me will be grown into the next Small Government Candidate.”
