Dear God, please tell me Sarah isn’t going to attract the “nobility” disease and come to town to spend four years trying desperately to show the dems how nice and reasonable she is in the hopes that they will listen to reason and work with her. Especially not after what the dem establishment and MSM have done to her.
If GWB had one big overall failing, that would be it. That rancid noblesse oblige just like his father’s that made him think that gentlemen don’t hit back no matter what. Especially from Katrina onward he just refused to defend himself (and his people). Maybe he didn’t mind the slings and arrows but his allies did and all that unopposed badmouthing eventually settled into the minds of the body politic.
Maybe “Maverick John” did give her her big break on the national stage but she doesn’t owe him this much.
At least—as another FReeper said earlier—not until the primary is settled.
I’m just waiting for McCain to be tempted to “reach across the aisle” to resume his old tricks in exchange for a slightly less stinking version of “health care” in order to win back the petting and stroking of the MSM.
I’m also worried about Scott Brown getting his pretty little head turned by all the glamorous trappings of the Capitol Hill lush life. You can bet your booty the lib establishment is getting to work on him already, trying to test just HOW firm his principles really are and just what he would be willing to trade for a WaPo style section puff piece and open invitations to those proverbial Georgetown cocktail parties...
She didn't exactly do that as Governor of Alaska...
