The wind was strong out of the East today, some 30 knot gusts. Most of the birds were hunkered down. Great Egret and Little Blue Heron.
Pinglist
great photo’s there mate.
Where was they took?
You should retire and take pictures. LOL
Really terrific.
The Great Egret was at the North end of Maria Sanchez Lake, the Little Blue Heron was in the pond at the county boat ramp.
:)
Great pics Swamp, enjoy the sun have not seen it in 2 weeks, has been raining cats and dogs....
Global Warming my ass!!
Beautiful pics. I usually fish just north of Vilano when we are down that way a couple times a year.
Please add me to your ping list, would love to see more pics of one of my favorite places.
Take Care!!
How grand. Is it cold today? I have friends who gathered in Orlando today, flying in from Wisconsin and Dallas, TX. I hope they’ll have nice weather, but they’ll never admit it if they don’t. LOL.
Great pics. I went to the St Marks Wildlife Refuge just south of Tallahassee this weekend. I got great pics of various birds. I was also lucky enough to get within 6 feet of 8 foot alligators.
Got great pics too. I love North Florida this time of year. Cheers.
The Little Blue Heron was in the pond at the county boat ramp on the Vilano Causeway. If there is enough water in it birds come in from a wide area for the fresh water. I’ve seen it so full of birds the water was almost hidden.
I know exactly where you are talking about- that’s a buncha birds. I ran across some pics I had from the Ocean Blue overlooking the village circa 1992, been a few changes since then.
I'm in central Florida...we have a small lake behind our home, and have had a lot of ducks lately.....and wood storks, herons, water turkeys, occasional gator...
Beautiful Swampsniper. Thanks for posting.
Great captures! As always.
Wonderful pics as usual, thanks!
They are modernizing everything, all the character is gone.
No more honky tonk pool hall fish camp anymore. They’ve chased off all the gritty old fishermen, no more Sheephead Charlie. Last time I saw Charlie he had shoes on and new teeth, he looked uncomfortable as Hell, LOL. He is older than I am, may have died in the last few years. I don’t know many people around here these days. I think I make the snowbirds nervous!
