On Linux (Mint, Ubuntu), I prefer Chrome over Firefox.

... to addons that make use of this forum and bb forums much easier (BBCode, BBcodeXtra). The latter two make posting URL's, images, italics, etc. as simple as a keystroke.

Thank you for that.

Those wanting to have a much more pleasurable Freerepublic reading and posting experience should also check out the Firefox Greasemonkey plugin with the FR Posting Form Enhancer and FR Tree Viewer scripts.

Has anyone used Maxthon? I’ve used it on several occasions and not been impressed with it. I just wondered what everyone else thought of it.

IE is the preferred browser of hackers and virus planters because of percentage of use and knowledge base.

I'd say one of the biggest reasons IE is such a target is activex.

Where do you get those scripts?

Under Windows (XP at least), you do Ctrl-Alt-Delete and it brings up all your running applications. You can use task manager to kill a frozen application instead of rebooting the entire computer.

Dating back to NT, you can hit Ctrl-Shift+Esc and bring up the TM directly. Left handed, hit the Ctrl and shift with your thumb and then the Esc with a finger. Easy as pie.

Opera 10 is the best browser of all time, and I've been using it for a while.

I'm reading and laughing via Opera right now...

Frowning takes 68 muscles.
Smiling takes 6.
Pulling this trigger takes 2.
I'm lazy.
