House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), appearing before the Democratic National Committee winter meeting this morning, was illustrating the diversity of the Democratic party by painting the touching scene of FDR's final train ride from Georgia to Hyde Park. Then she stumbled.
"There were farmers and black Americans, whatever the name was in those days, Afric- uh -- large numbers of African-Americans, poor people, middle class people, everyone. . . they lined the tracks to pay their respects," Pelosi told an audience at the Capitol Hilton.
Pelosi haters, and there are plenty of them, are likely to compare the remark to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's private comment that President Obama didn't speak in "Negro" dialect.
In fact, her gaffe couldn't have been more different.
Reid was privately using anachronistic, offensive language he'd never use in public, thinking his comments would never see the light of the day.
Pelosi, it appears, got into trouble for the opposite reason: She was trying to come up with the most PC way of describing African-Americans in a public forum -- in hopes of offending no one -- and wound up with a very un-PC quote that is likely to cause at least some offense.

I think a lot of people around here simply object to the double standard, rather than the actual speech. This is # 47 billion in a continuing list of Things Said By A Democrat Which Would Have Ended The Career Of Any Republican. I agree that I don’t give a rat’s rump in hell about the actual language Pelosi used.
One can only imagine the Wagnerian opera that would ensue if a Republican had said this. We would have long essays on the "othering" of "oppressed peoples," accompanied by, of course, demands for more social programs.
The woman is a medical miracle. She walks and talks but has no brain.
Defending Pelosi is a tough load to haul, however, the majority in America has had to be dishonest for decades in order to placate the minority. It is time we get over that.
What I propose is we start taking the English language back. We should start using correct, if un-PC, language.
"Illegal alien", "Homosexual", "Negro", "Oriental", "Muslim terrorist", "Retarded", "Hispanic"...all are proper English terms when used properly (to be fair, I would have included "Caucasian" in the list, but no one seems to be offended when they're called a Caucasian). We should use these words, then defend our use of them in an effort to illustrate what's happening to our English language. Of course the media will paint us as bigots, homophobes, racists, lower than whale manure on the ocean floor, etc...but don't they already?
Let's stand up for the English language, and quit trying to out-PC the PC CommieLibs!

It’s not about accepting their PC view of the world it’s about throwing it back in their faces.
Try this...use the term "chairwoman" instead of "chair" or "chairperson" (or "spokeswoman", etc), then after they squirm, ask them to explain how exactly you're wrong in using the un-PC words. They'll have to either admit their pettiness, or more likely begin calling you names, which is how you can always tell that you've won an argument against a liberal.

Ms. Nutzy is the epitome of Progressive Liberalism. Elitism and aristocracy run amok. The US is in a dangerous free fall because of this ruling class mentality. The Republicans had better step up to the plate and be VERY VOCAL about all of the abuse of power going on in this admin. before the crash landing ahead. Even the liberals will be stunned by the carnage. The American people are fed up and are mobilizing for the Nov elections. Just watch us!
