Want. So. Bad.

Alas, they're banned in the state of New Jersey.

I want one more than I want a girlfriend. Sad, but true.

Sweet! The Military Channel rated the FAL in it's Top 10, calling it "the right arm of freedom".

Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!

Find the girl friend first, and then buy yourself an FNAR. Time moves forward. Yeah the FAL is neat, but when they banned the importation of the Imbel receivers they priced the thing out of the real world. You can buy yourself an FNAR for less than it would cost to try to put a FAL together and the FNAR is today’s version of FN’s ultimate semiauto 308 rifle.

Sweet video. I go to DSA Arms web site often and want their SA 58 FAL or the FAL STG 58 Austrian version.

My FN FAL won’t complain when I come home smelling of beer and cigarettes. And if I really need the companionship, I’ll get a dog.

Too true. The FNAR is almost perfect. Dead accurate. I can shoot a ragged hole (with a bipod) at 200 yds all day long. Sweet recoil, great ergonomics, 1/2 MOA out of the box. Not cheap but worth every dime I have spent so far. The spare mags run close to $100 (bummer) but it is truly a great .308. Now I just need to save couple of more bucks to pick up that Leupold MK IV scope.

If I remember correctly, the original had a color image of Wile E. on it. Mine was printed long before I had a color printer. Check the “Gunsmithing and Build-It-Yourself” sub-forum over at the FALFiles.com. Search that forum for “diploma” and you should see a thread with that word in the subject line. There’s a link to the image in that thread, but you have to be a forum member and logged-in to download it.
