I think the ten percent number is pretty accurate. You disagree? Fine. We disagree. From what I’ve seen, half of the ten percent are ‘birther idiots’. Then you have the other conspiracy types, everything from 9/11 ‘truthers’ to the ‘moon landings were faked’ to the laughable ‘bilderbergers’ floating around in the crowds.

I’m not saying the Tea Party movement is made up exclusively of kooks, far far from it. But I am saying, yep, about ten percent are nuttier than your average fruitcake.

Same can be said, confidently, about ANY gathering numbering in large numbers, btw.

And yes, 10% of 100% is a SMALL NUMBER statistically. To say otherwise is just silly...or should I say ‘foolish’?

Birthers have good solid reasoning to have misgivings, and there's no way that 10% of Tea Partiers belong to that group anyway. Truthers? You've got your gatherings mixed up. That would be the moveon.org crowd. To say that Tea Partiers are into conspiracy theories is a crazy thing to say, and untrue.

From what you've seen, 10% are nutty? What are you seeing, the few offbeat signs that the liberal media shows. I've been there. The group is made up of decent citizens who are trying to stop the takeover of our country by a group comprised of 100% of creeps. And you're still wrong about numbers. To say that every 10th person in a Tea Party crowd is nutty is a real insult to the moveement. O'Reilly says it though, so for you, it must be true. He talks out of his ass, tosses a figure out, and you go with it. It's people like you and O'Reilly who perpetuate the lie that Tea Partiers are wacky.

The same can't be said of ANY large gathering. If I attend an upscale wedding, a funeral, Havard's graduation ceremony...there won't be 10% fruitcakes there. I had 250 people at my wedding. Now unless we have different meanings for nutty, loons, crazy - then I can say with confidence that there's no way that 25 nutjobs were in attendance. To say that 10% of ANY large group is nuts is just wrong. It depends on the people who are gathered.

Tell that to Medina...(chuckle)

I think I’ve demonstrated my point. In every group of ten, you have one certified idiot. If the group of ten is lawyers or politicians, the ratio is 3 or 4 out of ten.

You’ve demonstrated your point? All you’ve demonstrated to me is that you’re judgmental, and to a group of people who are working hard to keep you free. Nice to sit there and just toss out a figure to disparage the Tea Party movement, without a scintilla of evidence to back it up. Big contribution, calling a 10th of them nuts and certified idiots, and agreeing with blowhard O’Reilly. Go you.

It’s not my week to watch the Medina Tea Party. We are done. Good Lord, I hope you’re not in the Tea Party movement. We don’t need judgemental people like you.
