3:10 to Yuma was passable, but I do not like these impossibly hyperviolent shoot-em-ups.
If you want a REALLY good recent western check out “Appaloosa” with Ed Harris, Viggo Mortensen, Renee Zellweger and Jeremy Irons. It’s incredible, there’s certainly gunplay but the characters are the thing. The first western in ages where I really did not know how it would turn out. You’ve got to see it.
“Paint Your Wagon”, movies for guys who hate musicals. I actually thought Clint and Lee did fairly well with their songs, of course Harvey Presnell blew the doors off with “Mariah”.
Ah so. The lack of a father in Bond’s childhood goes a long way towards explaining his troubled relationship with women.
